Again is the tenth episode of the the 5 Years Later; Motion Comic, and the adaptation of Chapter 10: Again.

Summary[]

With The Heroes divided, Danny and Ben need to work together, but conflicts arise with Danny's new powers. Meanwhile, Paradox and Clockwork discuss Eon's history.

  • Buck Wild and Portaler make their debuts.
  • It is revealed that the events of 5 Years Later has happened over 23,000 times in many variations, but this is the first one with Vlad's involvement.
    • This prompts The Heroes present to work to change the timeline, where Clockwork passively confirms it may work.
  • Battle in the Temporal Zone
    • Danny's Awakening Stage evolves him slightly further, giving him another new costume, and changing his hairline and eyebrows.
      • It is also revealed that his Awakening Stage is dependent on his emotions, and the abilities he uses.
    • Lula, Crawnch, and GoTro are defeated and badly injured, but kept alive to taunt Ben.
    • Technus fuses with the remaining Alternative Ben Tennysons into the large amalgamous monster, Big Ben.

Differences From The Comic Version[]

Some scenes in the Motion Comic were changed, cut, or extended with some visual and dialogue alterations, even since the Recalibrated Event. While most panels have been altered to include vfx and animation, these are the significant changes:

  • The recap narrated by Danny on page 2 of Chapter 10 was entirely removed for the Motion Comic.
  • When Danny absorbs Vlad's power into the Specter Slicer, we get a new corrupted red version, and have it turn into the original green version.
  • In the flashback pertaining to Eon and Vlad's deal, a new panel of the Omnitrix is made for when they discuss the device, to enhance visuals.
  • At the end of their conversation, a close-up of Vlad is reutilized from the previous panel.
  • Clockwork's age shifts in real time, unlike the Webcomic version where he changes from page to page.
  • A panel from Episode 4 showcasing Eon hunting alternate Bens is reutilized when Professor Paradox is speaking.
    • New backgrounds and visuals were also added to further enhance the scene. This includes silhouettes of Eon and Vlad.
  • A new shot of Vlad sitting on his throne was added to Paradox's explanation of his involvement in Eon's plot.
  • When Clockwork explains to the others how to escape the Ghost Zone, an animatic in the illustrated art style is shown for a more detailed explanation.
    • A similar animation is shown when Gwen describes her plan to reach Ben and Danny.
  • A new scene demonstrating how dangerous returning from the Ghost Zone is was added for extra effect during Clockwork's narration.
  • A silhouette of "Ultimate Zim" with Eon bowing down to him can be seen during his rant.
  • Flashback sequences from Episode 3 and Episode 6 are shown during Danny and Portaler's argument.
  • When Future Fenton mentions the Awakening Stage, a flashback from the previous episode showcases Danny's transformation.
  • As Divinity tortures Portaler, a silhouette of him and his energy spreading in the temporal zone can be seen.
  • A new shot of an angered Divinity was made to further enhance the dialogue between him and Portaler.
