Ember McLain is a villain in 5 Years Later. She first appeared in Chapter 8: Risen. She is a Ghost from the Ghost Zone.
Appearance
Ember's lower half of her body is cybernetic, with her legs, lower torso and spine being comprised of robotics. She possesses horns on her head along with flaming blue hair.
Abilities
- Ghost Powers- Ember possesses the basic ghost powers of flight, intangibility, and invisibility.
- Teleportation- Ember can fade as a cloud of smoke or flaming tornado and reappear at another location.
- Pyrokinesis- Her flaming hair can be used for fiery attacks.
- Spectral Body Manipulation- Ember's hair can take the form of a flame which allows her to attack her enemies. She can also bend, twist, and contort her body .
Equipment
- Electric Guitar- Ember is a skilled musician, but her guitar is also a weapon. It possesses the ability to control sound, fire ghost rays, and play hypnotic music. It also obeys her summoning command and van fire various of ecto-energy attacks
History
- In Chapter 8: Risen (Page 21-23), After the Orion Squad defeats Skulker and is about to leave for the Keshawn Desert, Ember appears. This forces the Orion Squad to split up, with Eve, Chirp, and Phil staying behind to deal with Ember while the rest of the squad goes to the Keshawn Desert to warn The Heroes of the information they discovered.
- In Chapter 10: Again, she is shown fighting Eve, Chirp, and Phil alongside Skulker.

- Ember's 5 Years Later design was inspired by depictions of Succubus in media, contrasted to her original design which was more akin to a Siren.
