Firecracker is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Fotiatayir from the planet Phebe in 5 Years Later.
Appearance[]
Firecracker is a small yellow chick-like avian alien wearing a black and white suit. He has an orange beak and orange and red feathers around his eyes, tail, wings, and head. The tip of his head feather sparks with fire akin to a wick.
The Omnitrix is located on his forehead.
Abilities[]
- Comet Form- Firecracker can turn himself into a comet, allowing him to launch himself forward sounding and looking like a firework, granting him a burst of speed.
- Dormant Form- Firecracker can turn himself into stone for defense.
- Combustible Regeneration- Whenever Firecracker is killed, he regenerates in a fiery explosion with sparks flying in all directions.
- He becomes stronger, more durable, and a centimeter larger after the process.
- Flight- Firecracker can fly great distances with his wings giving off a rattling sound similar to fireworks.
- Space Survivability- Firecracker can survive in the vacuum of space.
Weaknesses[]
- Complete Destruction- If Firecracker’s body is completely destroyed, he cannot regenerate back.
- Speech Incapability- Firecracker is only able to speak in chirps, putting Ben at a communication disadvantage whenever he turns into this alien.
- Blast Radius - The embers from the Firecracker’s regeneration can harm others if they do not steer clear of the explosion.
Mythology[]
A common species from the planet Phebe, the Fotiatayir live in colonies and are functionally immortal through regeneration, where they can seemingly ignite to completely recover from dying, becoming larger in the process. The planet Phebe possesses little natural light due to its distant proximity from the systems suns. However, through the Fotiatayir's fiery regenerative abilities, along with their ability to transform into a comet-like state, the Fotiatayir serve as a light and heat source to an otherwise pitch-black planet. These abilities are what makes Phebe comparable to a world of endless firework shows.
When they become too large they will enter a dormant state, solidifying into a rock-like substance, becoming part of the landscape. However, most will be eaten by one of their various predators before this happens. They can only communicate using a sequence utilizing wing beats, tail wags, head bobs, side steps and agitated pecks in what is called a "flicker dance". However, this limited communication has left them incapable of advanced construction, leaving Phebe undeveloped.
History[]
- Many people were drawn to Phebe trying to identify the Fotiatayir species since they were not listed in the Alien Life Form Database and not recognized as intelligent. However, this led to a handful being taken from the planet and sold off-world as exotic pets, only to escape or be released. Noise, fire and invasive species concerns have been raised, and they have come to be seen as a menace to many.

- Firecracker's design is inspired by Phoenix mythology, as well as the Fawkes from Harry Potter.
- His regenerative abilities giving him a form of immortality are inspired by the immortal jellyfish and Time Lords from Doctor Who.
