Differences From The Comic Version[]
Some scenes in the Motion Comic were changed, cut, or extended with some visual and dialogue alterations, even since the Recalibrated Event. While most panels have been altered to include vfx and animation, these are the significant changes:
- In the opening, the Chronian warping the comic panel’s purple borders is now warping the video’s black borders, and the center Chronian is now holding a rotating, transparent cube opposed to a solid black one.
- New artwork of the dying Chronians was drawn to first depict them young and healthy before succumbing to the weakness of their powers.
- An animation of Concordia and its three moons replaces the original panel. This scene now includes artwork of the planets before their destruction, and creates time cracks behind the planet to visually tie into the later episodes.
- A new scene of the last Chronians floating throughout a dead universe was added, then shortly afterwards, a new scene of a potential future for them fulfilling their goals to guide the multiverse with their knowledge and power.
- The cover of the comic depicting a young Eon standing before a golden portal is now incorporated into the episode and animated.
- Zim’s computer display has been redesigned.
- Dr. Animo is now animated to pound his fist on a table in protest to Eon’s elusiveness.
- Eon now turns off the computer before responding to Techus and Eon about their desire for more information.
- The multi-planet background from the opening monologue is now reused behind the scene displaying the original Prototype Omnitrix.
- An additional shot of a hypothetical Chronian transformation is shown alongside Young Ben, accompanied by Chronian worshipers.
- Eon can now be shown walking up to the Alternative Ben Tennyson’s pod, placing his hand on the glass, then walking away.
- A hypothetical flashforward of Eon (now evolved as Divinity) leading a fleet of spaceships through the multiverse was added to complete his second monologue.
- Technus verbally struggles more when bound by Eon’s portals.
Trivia[]
- The hypothetical flash forward in Eon’s opening monologue features Chronians that resemble members of The Ink Tank. In the crowd, you can see an Anodite, an Opticoid, an Ectonurite, a Necrofriggian, and species that resemble worshipers of the Great One from the Ben 10 episode The Big Tick.
- Technus speaks with heavy digital filters to emphasize his technological-nature, unlike his Danny Phantom counterpart, who speaks with a (somewhat) regular voice.
- The vocal effects used for Eon’s helmet are not used during his two monologues to make the flashbacks more immersive.
- While the first seven members of Ben’s Powerhouse Playlist appear during Eon’s second monologue, Full Stop, Clockwork, and Alien X are absent.
- The outfit worn by the hypothetical Chronian transformation resembles Divinity’s second outfit, which he manifests in Chapter 12. He also has his third eye.
- The ships floating behind a hypothetical Divinity are pulled straight from Eon’s armada from Ben 10: Race Against Time.
- Technus’ additional dialogue while struggling, including his “the safe word was pineapples” line, was improved by Xander Mobus and Jonah Scott while recording the episode. Text boxes to compliment the new lines were added.
