Torrid Manzardill are a species of Manzardill from the planet X'Nelli in the Ben 10 Universe.

Appearance[]

Torrid Manzardill are snake-like reptilian aliens, measuring six to seven feet long, and are covered in flashy threatening colors and a row of curved spines lining their back up to their tails which forms their rattle. They are predominantly white with brown and red stripes, with their spikes mostly being the same color. They have white foot claws and black front hand claws.

Males have a reddish brown underbelly and duller colors while females lack a colored underbelly and have brighter colors, as well as small spots on their hands, small eyelash-like thorns near their eyes, shorter thorns, and a single thorn for their rattle contrary to the males' two.

Abilities[]

  • Ground Sinking — Torrid Manzardill can sink into loose terrain, such as sand and dirt, and travel underground with ease.
  • Fire Breath — Cold blooded, Torrid Manzardill use the heat from their hypothermus to shoot flames from their mouths.
  • Superheated Spikes — Torrid Manzardill can superheat the spikes going along their spine and arms to extremely high temperatures.
  • Tuck & Roll — Torrid Manzardill can curl up into a ball and roll across terrain, using their spikes as treads.

Weaknesses[]

  • Solid Ground — Torrid Manzardill cannot sink into more structurally durable terrain, such as solid rock.
  • Need to Breathe - Torrid Manzardill will need to catch their breath if they use their fire breath for too long.

Society and History[]

Being the second purely carnivorous species on the planet, they use their long bodies to quickly slither through sand, pursing only prey with flammable fur or feathers, specifically because they “burn faster and taste better “. Like most Manzardill, they hunt mainly for fun and taste, not for survival.

Due to the overall temperature in the desert dropping drastically at night, they nestle underground, trapping their natural body heat in the sand, and will sleep late into the day to make sure it is warm enough for them.

Notable[]

Trivia[]

  • Torrid Manzardill are the only species where their hypothermus is located over their esophagus, this heavily contributes to their more serpentine appearance.
