Differences From The Comic Version[]

Some scenes in the Motion Comic were changed, cut, or extended with some visual and dialogue alterations, even since the Recalibrated Event. While most panels have been altered to include vfx and animation, these are the significant changes:

  • The “BWOOM!” onomatopoeia when Eon digs up the Hands has been removed.
  • UltraViolent now attacks Vlad against a rushing deep blue background opposed to a white one.
  • Additional artwork of Vlad was drawn to show his transition to becoming intangible in order to dodge UltraViolent’s attack.
  • Additional artwork of UltraViolent was made when he forms his blue shield to better demonstrate the functionality.
  • Gwendolyn’s summoning halo is now animated and redesigned.
  • Danny’s Phantom Flame now fades away completely after using the Flaming Howl.
  • The background during UtraViolent’s barrage of punches changes from yellow to green, along with the background for his Cosmic Drill attack changing from white to yellow.
  • Additional artwork of Vlad’s Ecto-Energy cape was added to clarify how it works.
  • During Vlad’s taunting speech, a visual of Alien X is shown, retroactively reused from Episode 7.
  • A sequence of every transformation Ben has used to fight Vlad so far is shown.
  • Ghostfreak’s line “What do you know that I don’t?” is cut.
  • A flashback of XLR8 fighting Vlad is shown when Ghostfreak recalls the events of Episode 3.
    • Ironically, the flashback is scene also only in the Motion Comic.
  • Ghostfreak’s final thoughts about Vlad’s power before contacting the team is cut.
  • Additional artwork of the Plumber Ship before Upgrade merges with it was made.
  • The Upgraded Plumber Ship is no longer visible when Danny dodges another one of Vlad’s gadgets.
  • An additional transitional animation of Danny attacking Vlad with his own device has been added.
  • A brief establishing shot of Zim’s Ship and the Dwarf Star has been added after Danny and Vlad’s fight to lead into Gwendolyn and Upgrade’s scene.
  • The Omnitrix badge signifying Ben changing from Upgrade to Lodestar has been replaced with a full-screen transition effect.
  • Additional artwork of Zim before his spacesuit activates has been added.
  • The entire sequence of the Dwarf Star’s energy converting into a black hole happens as one animation opposed to multiple panels depicting the action.
  • The Plumber Ship is shown getting sucked into the black hole before Gwendolyn summons Evita.
  • A green animated digital background accompanies Kevin and Rook when they study the new black hole. Later, an animated circular dull blue one replaces the original flat blue background behind Kevin.
  • The artwork of The Alliance's Dwarf Star sample when it is rescued by Eon’s portal has been replaced.
  • During Danny and NRG’s combo attack, many panels are spliced together into one to create more fluid animation.
  • Gwendolyn’s transformation back to her Plumber Uniform is now fully animated, as is Danny’s.
  • Eon now walks completely off-screen when Technus tries to defend his failure.
  • Additional artwork of Eon reflecting on his body had been added, along with a final grand reveal shot of The Godmaker.
